Role Overview

Looking for highly skilled and motivated Sr Data Engineer with expertise in Python, Pyspark, SQL, Azure, Databricks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data management, and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and data models that enable our analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ensure efficient data integration and accessibility for analytics.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.

• Implement best practices for data governance and data quality.

• Manage and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability of data systems.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering technologies, especially in relation to Unity Catalog.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data engineers and contribute to the development of team standards and practices.

• Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based data solutions.

• Strong experience with Unity Catalog and familiarity with Databricks or similar platforms.

• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python.

• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
