Primary Roles & Responsibilities

• Snowflake, strong / lead level - data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensions, facts, SCD2, aggregates), performance and cost optimization (warehouse sizing, query tuning), role-based security.

• Strong SQL - complex analytical queries, window functions, tuning.

• ETL/ELT pipeline design - staging/dimension/fact loads, error handling, restartability (Matillion preferred; ODI/dbt/Informatica acceptable).

• Dimensional data warehousing fundamentals.

• Team lead experience - running Agile sprints for a small, mixed onshore/client team.

• Client-facing communication - can hold requirement and status conversations directly with the client.

• Working Power BI knowledge - enough for data model/report discussions and RLS awareness.

Good to Have

• Snowflake AI - Cortex, semantic views, agent access via MCP.

• Matillion.

• AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS), Python.

• Power BI Concepts.
